Jamie Gilleland had a thriving franchise company that was absolutely killing it. A $3 million IPO on Wall Street, it had been named to the “Top 100 Franchises” by Franchise Market Magazine, and guess what?
She was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a golf ball.
They told her that she had less than 6 months to live.
They told her there was a less than 20% chance of surviving any surgery options.
As a result, Jamie had to step away from her business for 3 months to take care of her health – with 3 small children.
While Jamie was out, literally fighting for her life, the business failed. You see, while Jamie had literally written the book on how the franchises would operate, she hadn’t even thought about the systems for the corporation to operate without her (and it was 2007 and the economy was beginning to fail).
THAT was where and when Jamie became passionate about creating systems for business owners that allow them to regain time, step into the role of “Leader” in their own company, and eventually, step away from their business while the systems they’ve created run their companies.
Her mission now is to show business owners and entrepreneurs how and where to automate and systemize the operational and “behind the scenes” stuff so they can focus on growing their business and sharing their genius.
Tune in and hear Jamie’s answers to questions such as:
- What started you on this business journey?
- When did the light go on that so many things in a service business could be automated? After all, Amazon and the world online have made many of us aware you could automate products, but services? Especially in the classic sense of a small business. How’d you figure that out?
- What are some metrics you’ve uncovered with automating? How much time are business owners saving? How is this affecting their bottom line – their closing ratios, their profitability, their potential for growth?
- What industries or verticals do you see the biggest potential to add automation in, especially in the world of the “classic” small local or regional business, or the archetypical “second career” start-up?
- If there is one thing you want our listeners to take from today, what is it?
- And much, much more!
