EVs Are Essential. But Are Visionaries in the Driver’s Seat? With Ken Boyer

Filed in Podcasts, Previous Episodes on November 19, 2024

Elon Musk may make the most noise, but he’s not the only one shaping the future of EVs. Along with the CEO of American stalwart GM and the leaders of Ceer and Monolith is a restless billionaire who may be the Vietnamese version of Musk. Their breakthroughs and struggles are the focus of a new book by an EV, automobile and supply chain expert.

The success of EVs is a tricky balancing act — from consumer reluctance to supply chain and production headaches, and each of these visionaries has their own solutions. And if the future of the planet may literally depend on carbon-free transportation, then our world rests on their shoulders.

Ken Boyer discusses the future of EVs and the five visionaries leading the charge. What they do next will help shape the fate of our planet. But what’s driving them — a hunger for profits, a desire to green the world, or both — and will they succeed?

Tune in to hear Ken’s thoughts on:

  • Who is leading the charge in the electric vehicle revolution?
  • Can EVs be affordable to the mass market and better for the environment?
  • How can existing automakers fend off the challenge from Chinese companies?
  • Are we trading one problem – use of fossil fuels – for another – use of rare earth metals for batteries?
  • Will technology improve to make EVs more palatable?
  • What role does government play in the EV revolution?
  • And much, much more!
